This site, charandchapter.com, is run by QLEARVISION LLC, doing business as Char & Chapter ("we," "us" or "our"). QLEARVISION LLC is responsible for the information described here.

What we collect

Only what you give us to make a book:

• Photos of the shelf
• Your email address, and your mobile number if you choose text updates
• The recipient's first name and the note you write for page one
• The shipping address

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

There's no account to create. We don't use advertising cookies or ad-platform tracking pixels. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page doesn't send your details to a font service.

How we use it

To build, print and deliver the book you ordered, and to send you updates about it. We read the bottle names from the photo and print them as text. Your photo is never printed, and no part of it appears in the book.

We only send marketing email if you sign up for it separately.

How we share it

We do not sell your information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your text messaging opt-in data and consent are never sold, and will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

The only sharing we do is with subcontractors in support services, to make and deliver your book:

• Stripe, to take payment
• Our printer, Lulu, to print and ship the book
• An AI service that reads the bottle labels in your photo
• The providers that run our email, text messaging and hosting

They may not use your information for anything else.

How long we keep it

If you don't order, we delete your shelf photos within 90 days of upload. If you do order, we keep them only as long as we need them to make, fix or reprint your book. We keep order records as long as the law requires, and we take reasonable measures to protect everything we hold.

Email us and we'll delete your information, except what we have to keep for an open order or the law.
