These terms cover charandchapter.com and your orders with QLEARVISION LLC, doing business as Char & Chapter ("we," "us" or "our"). By ordering a book, you agree to them.
What we sell
Personalized hardcover books made from a photo of someone's bourbon shelf. We make books, never alcohol. We don't sell or ship bourbon or any other drink.
Previews, pre-orders and proofs
You see a free preview of the book before you pay. Founding Edition books are pre-orders: you pay at checkout, and proofs start the week of Oct 19, after our printed sample passes inspection. After you order, we email you the full proof. Nothing prints until you approve every page. Before you approve, you can cancel for a full refund. See Refunds and fixes.
Your photos and your note
Only send photos you're allowed to take and share. We use your photos and your note only to make your book. We print bottle names as text. We never reproduce label artwork or logos. Bottle and brand names belong to their owners, and printing them doesn't mean those companies endorse or are connected with us.
Text messages from Char & Chapter
Until our texting registration is approved, every order update comes by email. Once it's approved, you can choose text updates at checkout, and this program applies.
- Program name: Char & Chapter order updates.
- What we send: texts about the book you ordered: your proof is ready, printing, shipped and delivered, plus replies to your questions. No promotional messages.
- Message frequency: Message frequency varies, about one text per step of your order.
- Cost: Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out: reply STOP at any time. You'll get one confirmation and no more texts.
- Help: reply HELP, or email hello@charandchapter.com.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How we handle your information, including your mobile number, is described in our Privacy policy. We do not sell your information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as our printer and the providers that run our messaging, is limited to making and delivering your book.
If something's wrong
If anything about your book isn't right, reply to any email with a photo. We'll fix it with a free reprint, or give your money back if we can't. Usually within 2 business days.
